Shipping Information and Policies for Abortion Care
Choix has partnered with a mail order pharmacy named Honeybee Health, located in California, to fulfill and ship your abortion medication order. You must sign consent forms and submit your final payment before we will proceed with sending medications.
Once payment and consents are received by Choix, we send a prescription for your medications to Honeybee. These medications can only be sent to you via this mail order pharmacy; we cannot prescribe them to a local pharmacy.
You will receive a total of 4 medications from Honeybee: the 2 medications needed for the abortion process (mifepristone and misoprostol), as well as medication for pain and nausea.
You can also add on other supportive care items at checkout if you wish, as well as the option for faster shipping.
ADDRESS
Your medications will be shipped to the address you registered with in your Choix patient portal. These will be sent via FedEx shipping unless you are shipping to a P.O. Box, in which case orders will be shipped via USPS. Please verify and/or update your address before final checkout – you can do so by logging in to your portal and finding the address under “Profile”, and editing using the pencil icon. IF YOU DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR APARTMENT NUMBER OR YOUR ADDRESS IS OTHERWISE INCORRECT RESULTING IN A LOST PACKAGE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR ANOTHER MEDICATION PACKAGE.

SHIPMENT TIMES
Per Honeybee’s Policy:
• If we receive your consents and payment BEFORE 12:00pm PST on a given business day, your medications will be processed and shipped the same day.
• If we receive your consents and payment AFTER 12pm PST, your medications will be processed and shipped the following day.
• The day your medications ship is NOT included in the business days quoted for shipping time above.
• Shipments go out at the end of each business day, and tracking emails are sent at that time.
TRACKING YOUR MEDICATIONS
Once we have processed your prescriptions to Honeybee, we will send you a message stating your prescription has been sent. HoneyBee will email you the tracking number from support@honeybeehealth.com once your package has shipped. Please be sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive this email from them by the morning after the day your medication has shipped.
**Please note** The tracking email from Honeybee will appear as though you are only getting 3 medications, as the mifepristone and misoprostol are bundled. You are getting 4 medications!
SHIPPING DELAYS
Please note that with all shipping preferences, there may be delays that are beyond our control. Please read the following information carefully to understand how delayed packages are handled.
• If a package is delayed by up to 3 days, but is still arriving within your window to take the medication, we will not issue a package reshipment. Please plan accordingly.
• If a package is delayed by more than 3 days, we will send you new medications, free of charge.
• If a package is deemed lost (for any reason other than incorrect / incomplete address), we will issue you a replacement package free of charge.
REFUND/RETURN POLICY FOR MEDICATION ABORTION
Once medications are shipped from the pharmacy, no refunds or returns will be given. By law, medications cannot be returned to the pharmacy.
• The initial ($20) consultation fee is not refundable once submitted.
• If you decide to cancel your order after you sign your consent forms, but BEFORE your medications are shipped from the pharmacy, your payment will be refunded less a $75 consultation fee for clinician and medical team time.
• If Choix or Honeybee makes an error in getting you the medications in a timely fashion, a full or partial refund will be issued.
• As noted above, if your package becomes lost due to an address error that is of no fault of Choix or Honeybee, you will be responsible for paying for the cost of reshipment.
POLICIES FOR ADVANCE PROVISION OF MEDICATION ABORTION (Abortion Pills for Future Use)
Once medications are shipped from the pharmacy, no refunds or returns will be given. Per law, medications cannot be returned to the pharmacy.
• If a person does not complete the final consent forms sent by the Choix team or to message Choix to cancel their Advance Provision of Medication Abortion order within 14 days of placing that order, Choix cannot provide a refund after that time.
• If you decide to cancel your order BEFORE your medications are shipped from the pharmacy, a partial refund will be provided and you will be refunded the cost of care, minus a $50 consultation fee for the Choix team’s time and care, plus the cost of any added add-on such as pregnancy tests, heating pad, or expedited shipping costs.
• If Choix or Honeybee makes an error in getting you the medications in a timely fashion, a full or partial refund will be issued.
• As noted above, if your package becomes lost due to an address error that is of no fault of Choix or Honeybee, you will be responsible for paying for the cost of reshipment.

Choix and the pharmacy cannot guarantee that all medications will have similar expiration dates or that they will all last 2 to 3 years.
• Mifepristone and Misoprostol generally have a shelf life of 2 to 3 years – please check the expiration date when received and prior to use.
• Choix will replace any medications that expire before 2 years. After this time, the patient will have to pay for the cost of refilling any expired medications.
• Choix will provide abortion care for Advance Provision patients up until the date of expiration for the Mifepristone (2-3 years) or up to 2 years if Mifepristone expires before that time. After this 2-3 year timeframe, you will need to get a new Advance Provision prescription or seek care for a medication abortion and get new medications if you become pregnant.
• Abortion medications are only intended for the use of the person who they are prescribed for and to be used in the states that Choix provides care. People who share their medications with others will not be able to seek care with Choix. Choix will not be able to provide care if you are not physically in a state we serve at the time of use.
RISK OF MISCARRIAGE
Please note: a miscarriage is more common the earlier you are in pregnancy, and about 10-15% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, the majority of those are in the first trimester.
• Choix cannot issue refunds, even in the event of a miscarriage.
• If you believe you had or are having a miscarriage, please let us know right away. Choix providers will follow up, assess, provide guidance and discuss your plan of care with you in the event of a suspected or confirmed miscarriage.
• Not all bleeding is a miscarriage!
