Cindy Adam, FNP
Founder, chief executive officer
Cindy Adam is one of the co-founding clinicians and CEO. Cindy co-founded Choix with Mark Adam, CTO/President of Choix, and with clinicians, NP Lauren Dubey and Dr. Aisha Wagner. Alongside her fellow co-founders, she drives the vision behind Choix.
Cindy trained at the University of California Family Nurse Practitioner Program and completed clinical preceptorships at SFGH, Planned Parenthood, and the Women’s Community Clinic. She focused her career on sexual & reproductive heathcare through work with the SF Department of Public Health Programs for Youth, in private practices with a local obgyn as well as with an early stage contraceptive care telehealth provider. Cindy worked on UCSF’s Advancing Standards in Reproductive Health Turnaway Study on the experiences of people seeking abortions. She has also practiced full scope primary care with Santa Rosa & Santa Cruz Community Clinics and worked as a volunteer advocate for survivors of sexual assault.
Cindy and Lauren are the National Abortion Federation 2022 Clinicians in Abortion Care Leadership Award Winners. This award honors advanced practice clinicians who have demonstrated significant contributions to advancing the scope of practice and provision of abortion care among NPs, CNMs, and PAs, and who have exhibited leadership in the field of abortion care.
Aisha Wagner, MD
Founder, co-chief medical officer
Dr. Aisha Wagner is a highly skilled abortion provider and brings extensive experience to our team at Choix. As one of the founding clinicians of the company Aisha brought years of clinical experience to the development of Choix’s platform, collaborating with the co-founders to develop our patient care protocols. And in her role as CMO continues to collaborate on Choix’s vision for future healthcare services.
Dr. Wagner completed medical school at the Keck School of Medicine and residency at University of California, San Francisco. She then went on to do a fellowship in Reproductive Health and Advocacy in New York, as well as a fellowship with Physicians for Reproductive Health. Dr. Wagner has created and collaborated on reproductive health, reproductive rights, and reproductive justice advocacy projects, taught women’s health procedures (including abortion) to medical students, residents, nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals. She has also spoken as an expert on contraception and abortion care with media, state representatives, on panels, and as an invited Grand Rounds speaker.
Alongside her role at Choix, Dr. Wagner practices Family Medicine in the Los Angeles area, providing in-person abortion and contraception care as well as full-spectrum patient-centered primary care, in multiple clinical settings.
Aisha Wagner, MD

Lauren Dubey, FNP-C
Founder, chief nursing officer
Lauren Dubey is a compassionate, highly skilled abortion provider and brings extensive telehealth and research experience in abortion care to the Choix team. Lauren practices in the Los Angeles area and is extremely passionate about sexual and reproductive health – she has been working in the field since finishing her training at University of California, San Francisco.
In her founding role, she was the driving force behind the development of Choix’s telemedicine protocols for reproductive healthcare services including birth control, UTI care, and abortion care. She is also responsible for both direct patient care and staffing / managing our clinical team, as well as training and process improvement.

Moira Rashid, MD, MPH
Co-chief medical officer
Dr. Moira Rashid is a family physician who specializes in Reproductive Health and Family Planning. Dr. Rashid collaborates with medical leadership on Choix’s vision for future healthcare services while also building partnerships within the medical community and providing direct patient care. She has a master’s degree in public health and brings a decade of clinical abortion care experience to her role as CMO.
Dr. Rashid first became interested in pursuing a career in reproductive health while working as a medical assistant at Planned Parenthood. There she saw how attacks and limitations on reproductive health had devastating consequences for patients, particularly patients of color. Dr. Rashid has focused her training and career on providing care to underserved populations. After residency, she completed the Reproductive Health and Advocacy Fellowship and the Leadership Training Academy where she learned patient-centered care, and honed her teaching and advocacy skills. In addition to her co-CMO role at Choix, Dr. Rashid also works in various clinical settings providing reproductive health and teaching residents. She is passionate about ensuring that everyone has equitable access to healthcare, including safe abortion and contraception.
