After reviewing your health questionnaire and confirming that the abortion medications (mifepristone and misoprostol) are safe for you to use based on your medical history, your Choix provider will review the advance provision consent forms with you. We use these forms to help educate our patients so that they can give fully-informed consent for medication abortion. Once you have paid for the medication abortion consultation with a Choix provider, our partner mail-order pharmacy will mail the abortion pills to you within the next couple of days. Shipping times may vary but your medication abortion pills should arrive in an unmarked, trackable package through FedEx within 3-5 business days. You can quickly start a new medical intake from Choix’s website by logging back into the Choix portal to start the medication abortion questionnaire. A Choix clinician will then review your medical history for any changes to ensure it is still safe for you to take the medications. We will also review your clinical information, such as your last menstrual period, any bleeding or other irregular symptoms (as could happen if your pregnancy is not in the right place), and any indications that you may need an ultrasound. Your Choix clinician will contact you via text within one business day to confirm the information you entered for this new intake.
